Steph with Steph

Stephanie's Awesome Wedding Flowers! Her colors were black, white and GREEEEEN! Not the norm, but ended up being the most fun I have had designing a wedding. Steph's easy-going pwersonality gave me my artistic license anytime I wanted to use it! And guess what the best part was?! SHE LOVED IT! (of course she did! have you seen the pictures yet? no? well get on with it!) So I still haven't heard back from the photographer, but these are better than nothing! The above is the gorgeous Bridal Bouquet, Two cymbidium orchids (representing the two lovebirds), surrounded by green spider mums, stephanotis (little white flowers with pearl centers), white roses, hypericum berries, and green button poms, with some bear grass loops. Stephanie was a little concerned with the greenery before, saying that she didn't want anyone looking at the flowers, and thinking "wow, that's a lot of leaves", so we just left them out completely.

This is the Throw Bouquet, obviously smaller, but similar flowers, and lots of bear grass! (ooo I love it!)

Sorry this is upside down, but you get the idea.

Close up on the Brial below.

For the sweet Bridesmaids..... gerber daisies, hypericum berries, green spider mums, and green button poms. (I waited until I was at the ceremony to cut the stems to proper length)

For the Groom: (above)

Pretty simple groomsmen boutonnieres, but they look pretty cool!

My favorite corsages, I have ever done! I loved each of them. The bear grass is an awesome airy substitute for normal green leaves.

To go along wth her invitations and to match her style, I designed this wrap! The black lace over the white silk is different, and "sexy". HA ha.

there are more pictures, but I just don't have them :( I'M stranded in New York.

"Melody under the Tree" For Margaret Chapman

At first glance, it may not be much. But look closer, it's a piano. Margaret was an accomplished pianist, and I was told, she played right up until the day she died. She was a classic.

You know me, centimental- There are 12 large roses that make up the piano, she had 12 grandchildren. There are 19 white pom poms that make up the floor, for her 19 great grandchildren. Below- A little over-exposed, but you can see the "keys" here a little better. In the tree above, are Margaret (pink) and her husband Whitney (green), watching over their posterity. These orchids also spoke to me. They are cymbidium orchids, like $5 a head Wholesale! But they represent Margarets travels (she loved the tavel) and her final destination. Look at the orchids, don't they look like they have wings? So angelic.

Below is the explanation of the flowers I left by the arrangement.

See the wire notes hidden in the tree trunk?

The Mara

I should be able to get some professional pictures. I just wanted to get some pictures up. Here ya go!

So usually, I come up with a name for particular arrangements... and this one was named after it's bride: Mara.

Awesome, her colors were purple and black. Originally we planned to have some purple poppies with black centers, but they weren't available. Instead I substituted the orchids, and I'll bet you agree, they look amazing! Better than any poppy. I think Mara loved it too.

Bridesmaid bouquets were smaller but very beautiful, with a thin black wire and black ribbon as an accent.

Above is the bride's bouquet, and instead of plain black wire, there are black beads, which are also in the Throw Bouquet (below).

10 Centerpieces, very simple and beautiful. Each with a simple dark purple (black) calla lilly, and glass pebbles. At night they lit floating candles which made for a very romantic atmosphere.Above is Jae's (the groom's) bout. Unfortunately it blends a little too much into the jacket. But I Love the simplicity of the calla lilly and two grass blades. Below are the groomsmen bouts, a simple dendro orchid, with salal leaves and a couple of black beads.

Above is a Mother's corsage. Women's have at least two flowers in them, and these have small purple (or blue) aster blooms.

Here is the cake done by the awesome Granite Bakery, which by the bride's request, I topped with some fresh flowers.
